More about the event and the event company
The Rip Swim is presenting this inaugural winter race.
Grant Siedle, the director of The Rip Swim is proud to bring this new event to Melbourne.
As a very keen cold water swimmer and coach, he is passionate about giving swimmers new, exciting and original challenges.
He works with a highly professional team who understand what it takes to produce a successful event.
While this event is designed primarily as a race, you do not have to be an elite swimmer. However, we suggest that you are able to swim under 30 minutes for the 1.5km.
We look forward to seeing who will become Melbourne's very first winter swimming champions!
